Dr. Moses has a comprehensive educational and professional background that underscores his expertise in the field of medicine, particularly in musculoskeletal injuries and non-surgical treatments. His journey in medicine began with his graduation from UNSW in 1996, where he earned both a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBBS) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc). This foundation laid the groundwork for his future career achievements.

After establishing himself as a highly successful and respected General Practitioner for over 13 years, Dr. Moses pursued advanced training in the specialised field of Sport & Exercise Medicine. This led to him becoming a Fellow of the Australasian College of Sport & Exercise Physicians (FACSEP), which signifies his exceptional knowledge and skill in managing sports-related injuries and conditions. Additionally, he holds a fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), further solidifying his expertise in general medical practice.

One of Dr. Moses’ key areas of specialisation is in non-surgical treatments for injuries. His approach is rooted in the fact that the majority of musculoskeletal injuries, approximately 90%, can be effectively managed without the need for surgery. Instead, he focuses on optimising rehabilitation principles to minimise recovery time and facilitate a swift return to sports, exercise, work, and daily activities. This approach may involve collaborating closely with a patient’s healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care.

Dr. Moses has a holistic perspective when it comes to injuries. He not only identifies and addresses the immediate causes of injuries but also considers biomechanical factors that might contribute to the injuries. Furthermore, his commitment to injury prevention showcases his dedication to promoting overall health and well-being.  A significant aspect of Dr. Moses’ practice is his cautious approach to medical investigations. He is diligent in ordering only appropriate investigations for patients, with the aim of minimising unnecessary exposure to radiation. This approach aligns with his commitment to providing the highest quality care while minimising potential risks.

In his practice, Dr. Moses offers a range of treatments to aid patient recovery, including ultrasound-guided injections, shockwave therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), hyaluronic acid, corticosteroid treatments, and even tendon transplantation when necessary. This diverse toolkit allows him to tailor treatment plans to individual patient needs.  With over 18 years of experience managing injuries for elite athletes across various major sporting codes, Dr. Moses has honed his ability to accurately assess injuries, provide appropriate treatments, and make referrals to specialists when surgery is indicated. This level of expertise extends to patients of all activity levels, from elite athletes to non-athletic individuals.

Dr. Moses’ extensive education, dual specialty, and years of experience have equipped him to provide the highest level of care for a wide range of patients, offering non-surgical solutions for musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. His holistic approach, cautious investigative strategies, and commitment to individualised treatment plans highlight his dedication to optimising patient outcomes.
